The Physical Therapy Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for full-cycle recruitment of physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, other rehab clinical staff in outpatient setting . This role partners closely with clinic leaders and operations to attract, engage, and hire top clinical talent while ensuring an exceptional candidate experience and compliance with healthcare hiring standards.

The Physical Therapy Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for full-cycle recruitment of physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, other rehab clinical staff in outpatient setting . This role partners closely with clinic leaders and operations to attract, engage, and hire top clinical talent while ensuring an exceptional candidate experience and compliance with healthcare hiring standards.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Sourcing
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for physical therapy roles (PT, PTA, Clinic Director, Aide, Front Office, and specialty positions as needed)
- Source candidates through job boards, social media, professional associations, referrals, and direct outreach
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for hard-to-fill and high-growth markets
- Proactively recruit new graduates and experienced clinicians
- Candidate Experience & Screening
- Conduct initial phone/video screens to assess clinical fit, licensure status, and cultural alignment
- Coordinate interviews with clinic managers and leadership
- Educate candidates on role expectations, productivity models, compensation, and career growth
- Maintain consistent communication throughout the hiring process
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and timelines
- Support offer creation, negotiations, and acceptance
- Coordinate pre-employment requirements including licensure verification, background checks, and onboarding steps
- Employer Branding & Outreach
- Represent the organization at physical therapy career fairs, university programs, and professional events
- Support recruitment marketing initiatives (job postings, social content, referral programs)
- Strengthen relationships with PT and PTA academic programs
- Track recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, source of hire, and candidate conversion rates
- Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and healthcare employment regulations
Required
- 2+ years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience
- Experience recruiting physical therapists
- Strong understanding of licensure requirements and healthcare hiring processes
- Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills
- Proficiency with ATS platforms and sourcing tools
- Relationship-driven recruiting approach
- Ability to manage multiple openings across markets
